Some Flash files not appearing
For the past couple of days, some Flash files have not been appearing, while
others have.
More info:
I'm using Mac OS 10.3.9, G3 processor, Flash Player 8.
Reinstalling the player doesn't work.
I've had this problem before. It went away eventually last time, but it'd be
nice to not have to wait a week or so.
When I scroll on a page with a gap where Flash content should be, it still
shows the weird "laggy" effect that also happens with QuickTime movies.
http://www.orisinal.com/ works.
http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/ does not work.
http://plusminus.ru/call.html originally worked, but now it has also stopped
working.
Right-clicking on an area where there should be Flash content (but isn't)
displays a Flash menu.
I hope there's some sort of solution for this. Thanks.

Re: Some Flash files not appearing
I've figured out a way to fix the problem, but it's a bit of a kludge. When you
are on a page with a non-functioning Flash file, go to the "User Agent" submenu
of the Debug menu and choose any user agent besides "Automatically Chosen" (I
suggest "Windows MSIE 6.0").
If you don't have the debug menu, you can enable it. First, quit Safari. Then,
open Terminal and input the following (without quotes): "defaults write
com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1". Open Safari again, and it should be there.

Re: Some Flash files not appearing
I have the same problem that sam.d has. I am running Mac OS 10.3.9 G5
processor. I changed the user agent on one of the pages that wasn't displaying
the Flash file. And it worked momintarily. Once the Flash started playing
Safari "unexpectedly quit". I tried it a few times now and the same thing
happens. Also, when I went to one of the sites that originally worked, the
Flash file was no longer visible. So now that I have changed the "User Agen"
sites that worked before, don't anymore and sites that didn't work originally
work for about 2 seconds and then Safari quits. Whats going on?
