Hello

Hoping that someone out there has come across this problem and knows of a
solution. I'm getting complaints from a small number of visitors that when
they visit my website, http://www.bookbrowse.com all they see is a blue screen.

There doesn't seem to be any common factor, such as type of browser, and the
majority can view without a problem. It's difficult to guage how widespread
the problem is as if all they see is a blue screen it takes a very dedicated
visitor to find an alternate way to send me a message!

I believe the problem is only with IE users - at least they appear to be the
only ones who've complained so far. No one who works on the project has been
able to reproduce the problem, but still the complaints keep coming in.

With a couple of people I've got into long dialogues with them, trying
different variations to try to understand what they see - with these people the
following seems to be true:

- There is no consistency in the browser version being used - e.g. one person
is using AOL 6.0 at home, another a totally up to date version of IE on state
of the art computers at a tech facility.

- The problem seems to be linked to display of the advertisements (but the
majority can see them fine (e.g. 500,000 page views in the past 2 weeks)

- When the leaderboard ad is installed at the top of the page they either see
nothing or just the logo.

- When the leaderboard is uninstalled but the skyscraper unit is live, they
see the site but there is a block of blue down the side where the ad should be.

- They are not aware of having any adblocking software installed (and one of
them is very computer savvy and would know for sure).

- One person has told me that she can view in Netscape fine, but not IE.

- Another tells me that she can view fine on her home computer but at work she
has this problem.

I've tried setting the ad in a table in the hope that would make a
difference, but it didn't

I've tried contacting Microsoft but without success.

Anyone had a similar problem? I do hope so!

Many thanks, Davina
