Some sites are really slow
Hello,
My friend has been running vista since then 50XX builds and I have now
started using it too. One problem we both have and I read about it on other
forums that some sites are really slow to load and most of the times don't
load at all. This is both in IE and FF: examples are microsoft.com (because
of this windows update never completes) and ati.com and winbeta.com. This is
a big issue and the only thing preventing me from really using Vista. With
every build I was hoping it would be fixed, but here's 5308 and its still
there. Any ideas?
Cheers

Same here, there seems to be an issue with the networking stack in 5308. I
have deemed this a highly lousy build and I hope the Windows Team can do
better. Honestly, I say give me the XP codebase with a Vista fake Aero Glass
theme from the Windows Blinds folks.

I agree also - I've found more bugs and critical problems in 5308 than the
first 5112 Beta 1 build we were given :-o

I hope Vista doesn't turn out to be another Windows ME. If it does, I know
I won't be buying it. Windows ME from Windows 98 was more of a downgrade
than an upgrade. I'd use Windows 98 over ME any day.
