SOS! how can I recover? - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

You can't restore a transaction log backup unless you have a database backup, so that won't work. Logexplorer will work I think.(I have never had the need to use it, so I am not totally sure) Is there no way you recreate the table from memory or specifications, as you say it was only a small table? -- Jacco Schalkwijk MCDBA, MCSD, MCSE Database Administrator Eurostop Ltd. You should use
    RESTORE LOG [mydatabase_log]
FROM <Operating system file name for the log backup>

but because you don't have a database backup you can't restore the
    transaction log.

    I'm afraid I can't help you any further :-(

    Jacco hi,

I don't have any full backups other then the one I created AFTER the drop
    mistake.
I do, however, have a 400Mb LDF file (x10 larger then the original/current
MDF) - the dropped table was very small.

Is there anything I can do? Lumigent evaluation only allows Northwind
interaction and doesn't offer online purchase.

    Thanks!

    Jacco,

    had

    I tried this:

    RESTORE LOG [mydatabase_log]
    FROM [mydatabase]
    WITH RECOVERY, STOPAT = 'Jul 18, 2003 10:00 AM'
    GO

    But I'm getting this error-
    Server: Msg 3206, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
No entry in sysdevices for backup device 'mydatabase'. Update sysdevices and
    rerun statement.
    Server: Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
    RESTORE LOG is terminating abnormally.

    What's that?

    you

    Small as 200 rows :(
