sound lost in iMovie project - Mac Applications & Software

I am using iMovie 3.0.3 and have lost the sound when I play back the edited movie. If I open a new project, and export clips into that, the sound plays back properly. Also, clips that are not part of the movie play back with sound. Is this a known bug, and/or has my project file been corrupted somehow? I am not sure whether I have run into a bug, or just accidentally set some option that I cannot now unset.... Richard...

Aha. And since the check box only shows up in the timeline viewer, and
I normally use the clip viewer, I could have looked for it for a long
time before I found it. Thanks. That has returned everything to
    normal.

There is a known bug in iMovie 3 which will let you inadvertently toggle
an audio channel mute checkbox even when the Clip Viewer rather than the
    Timeline is displayed.

If you click on a spot at the right end of the Clip Viewer where a mute
checkbox WOULD be if the Timeline were being displayed, it will toggle
that checkbox with no visible indication. When you switch to the
Timeline view, you will see that the checkbox state has changed.
