I don't think this is possible. Not in the same way as it is with HTML. It
also depends on how you created the FLA. You could print out the
actionScript but that would not give you an overall view of the actual
    source code.
I could be wrong though...maybe it is possible with MX 2004?

yes u are wrong, I searched for 2 days program, flash MX, etc... for how to
export the script and almost killed myself :-).
though there is a solution :
    Action script Viewer !
You get the library, actionscripts, etc.. You can even 'rip' an swf (this is
illegal so don't try it) and fortunately there's a complete file on how to
    secure your own swf files.

Though only a demo can be downloaded...
It would be nice if someone could "upgrade this for free" .. contact me if
you can. I've searched but with no results. It's only for a one time use and
would do me a great favour.

    friendly regards

yes, it is possible, like you said, but posting about the legalities of it
might land you in some hot water... tread lightly, you never know who is
    snooping around or lurking.

    Default Source Code

Hi, We are currently building a new product using coldfusion mx 7 . How can
we protect our code, I saw some people that encrypt code for MX 6.1 and
previous versions i found a tool that decrypts it.... I think even if i can
encrypt the coldfusion files, it's still possible to decompile the source code
of the generated .class files can we use the 'obfuscated method' fr encrypting
    the generated .class files Thanks

Is there any option so that the output will be obfuscated
    cfcompile -deploy webroot directory-to-compile output-directory

I'm most probably using the incorrect termenology here, but

    With cf 7
Deploy applications as Java bytecode to help protect intellectual property.

    Thus no source code.

But you need to be using the enterprise edition.

Do you mean using cfcompile -deploy option or there is another method

I have never had the need to do this, so I'm not sure how it's done.

You will need to look at the cf docs online.

I just know this can be done from the info I have read.

    The following is that info

    EAR/WAR Deployment
Deploy an application and the entire ColdFusion runtime as a standard Java
archive (EAR or WAR file). Moving ColdFusion applications into production in
J2EE environments has never been easier.

    Sourceless Deployment
Optionally omit unencrypted CFML source in ColdFusion applications packaged as
J2EE archives, allowing applications to be redistributed and helping protect
    intellectual property.
