My daughter is having a problem with spam on her
computer. She has Windows XP Home running. I suggested
she "stop" "messenger" service by going to control panel,
administrative tools and selecting the "messenger" line
and clicking it to change the properties... however, that
line doesn't exist in her list... three is no line
with "messenger" in it. Why would it be missing... how
can we get it back... could it have accidently been
deleted or could a virus have deleted it?? Also her
    windows firewall was on.

She is also having a lot of problems with Trojans horses
and viruses... and her norton antivirus doesn't seem to
be getting rid of all of them. She has always kept
norton updated, but the other day, after she booted her
computer she noticed Norton Antivirus was disabled.

What can she do to set her computer right again... Thanks

I highly recommend not posting your email address in this or any other
forum. A large percentage of the spam I now get is sent to the email address
I used to have listed in my postings in this forum.

No doubt about that. One post can kill you.

I am surprised at the vehemence of your response, if you had read the whole of my posting you would have seen that I was asking for feedback from Flash users, as to whether or not the site catered for them as well as I want it to.
It is a utility that is specifically aimed at people that are broadminded enough to see the future of the web is going to include an audio element and need help in getting hold of that element without breaking the law by taking music off their favourite CDs.
I presume that you would use an animation library to speed up your creation time, well you can go and try to find a musician to create a backing track/sting for you if you like, but I beleive that a lot of people would prefer to hear the product they are buying before they pay for it.
I apologise if the posting offended you, I don't really understand what was so offensive about letting people know that I have launched a service that is specifically aimed at helping them. Please explain.

This obviously is not personal; it's just that this link promotes a
commercial service. Nothing wrong with that, just that this is not the
appropriate newsgroup. My guess is that macromedia.general.announcements is
    the appropriate group.
