    "sparce"? I assume you mean "a linux distribution that installs and works on
    a sparc". I helped set up Debian 3.0 on a sparc, and qmail (my favorite MTA)
    works quite well on debian (though not recommended for newbies, because it
    has to be compiled from source)

    nope sparce = not much of it
    i.e. a minimal distro

    You mean "sp"? That's defined by Webster's as "Thinly scattered; set
    or planted here and there; not being dense or close together; as, a sp
    population." Sounds like a FAT filesystem in need of defrag :)

    "Scarce" would perhaps be another candidate: "Not plentiful or abundant;
    in small quantity in proportion to the demand; not easily to be procured;
    rare; uncommon." But surely you don't want that! :)

    Anyway, you could install the base Debian system and a mail server on it,
    leave everything else out. The good thing about Debian is it's easy to
    configure. There are of course smaller distributions if the size is of
    essence, but Debian doesn't install any cruft you don't need.

    Ahh. That's spelled "sp". Excuse our confusion....
