Default speed at which you burn the CD for mass dulication

    Hi

I have just completed a project and it's about to go to a professional
company for glass mastering and then CD pressing.

My quation is, does it make a difference at what speed I burn my master CD
for the duplicators? I am setting priority for various files in Nero and my
project seems to run smoothly as it has been tested on different copmuters.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It should be best to burn at the lowest speed the writer allows, thus letting it
make a more definite signal on the CD and reducing the block error rate (BER).
The CD-pressers would of course be the best people to ask as they will have
plenty of experience; I've always sent two copies of a CD to be pressed for
    safety's sake.
The priority setting in Nero only tells Nero if it should place the files near
the start/middle/end of all the data, you want things like autorun.inf to be at
    the start.

    Thanks Andrew. That's very helpful.

Yes, I remember you mentioned the following to me some time ago and I have
followed your suggestion ever since, with the result that the my projectors
    launch very quickly. Thank you.

I also want to take this opportunity to say that this forum has been a great
help to me in my learning process. As I have just finished a big Director
project on which I have been working for the last four month, I want to
thank again all those who have come to my rescue when I got stuck and
couldn't solve the lingo problems on my own.

    I am a self-taught person; I had been a video producer for 20 years when I
just happen to go to a Macromedia Roadshow in London about four years ago.
There I won Director 7 in a draw .... (thank you again Macromedia). Well,
needless to say, the learning curve for me has been VERY steep and without
this forum, I don't think I would be where I am today in my job as a
    multimedia producer.
