Default Spell check will not work

I am having a problem with the spell check in Freehand MX. It was working, but now it has stopped entirely. The dialog box confirms that spell check has taken place, but it doesn't find any mispellings (even if several exist). I am using Freehand MX on windows Xp.

Is your text in uppercase lettering? There are a bunch of new Spelling
Preferences. One is to 'Ignore UPPERCASE' and it is enabled by default.

That's it! Thanks. I checked the preferences, but I must have missed that one.
