Spelling doesn't work
Have never been able to spell check a document in indesign. Even after selecting some text and making a deliberate error it just says spelling complete. It checks the odd individual word in the master page but thats all.
Why is it so difficult???
tried using all available combinations eg document, story etc
thanks;

Re: Spelling doesn't work
Select all your text in the story thread and apply the correct language (spell checker language). This is settable from within either the Character palette or the (IIRC) Control palette.
Then try to spell check it.
Under some circumstances, you could be bringing in text with no language defined for it, and this trips up the spell checker into ignoring the text.
