spot colors in Illustrator pdf
I am using 3 pantone colors in a buisnesscard and need to send the file to the printer in pdf. Are the spot colors automatically embedded? Do I need to turn off the 'preserve ICC profiles option'? Whats the best workflow, and how can I double check that the colors really are embedded?
Thanks

Re: spot colors in Illustrator pdf
Try checking the seperations (file/seperations setup). If that box is ghosted, choose a postscript printer as your printer, or adobe distiller. (see many posts about not being able to access the seperations dialog box).
