SQL Query Help
Hi
I am simple problem please help.
I want to write a simple query to search for particular occurance of the
string in any part of the field.
The fieldname is TapeNum and I wish to display all rows where tapenum has
the characters 'ASP'
I wrote the following query
select tapenum from tapeinfo where tapenum like 'ASP'
in the asp page i am writing it like this
strSearchText = "ASP"
sqlSTR = " select tapenum from tapeinfo where tapenum like '" &
strSearchText & "' "
But it only displays one record which has ASP as the tape number there are
many more record which start with the string ASP and END with ASP but my
query above doesnot display them.
What am I doing wrong?
