SQL Server develper edition - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

Sorry for the non-technical post, but... I purchased the developer edition from Microsoft a few months ago for $450.00. Today I have learned that the price has changed to $49.00. Is there any way to recoup any of that money from such a sudden, large price drop?...

You might contact the retailer and/or Microsoft sales channel directly, as
opposed to a peer-to-peer developer newsgroup (where the best answer you'll
get is an opinion from someone like me).

Most retailers, btw, honor a 30- or 45-day price guarantee. I doubt "a few
    months" would qualify.

Next time, I might suggest an MSDN subscription. You get a lot more than
just SQL Server, for not that much more than what you paid...

You probably want to contact the sales office for this inquiry.
