Hello. That column is used to track the actual ID of the state a record is in. When you add a new state to the design surface and then
connectors to allow the record to flow in specific paths between the states, their will be another record created (in a different table) that
associates each state with a specific ID. If your end-user interface is a web-page or such, there must be away to modify the status of a record
(transition it between states). Typically, this can be done via the SQL Workflow Toolbar. There are others ways of course... I highly
