SSI on ASP.NET pages?
I searched on this topic but found no information. Forgive me if it has been
done to death. Can you have ssi on an asp.net page? I can't get mine to show
up. If I rename the page with an shtm extention it works fine, but aspx drops
the include. Thanks

Re: SSI on ASP.NET pages?
I use it all of the time and it works fine. This is in a C#.NET site, so I'm
not sure if it makes a different in VB.NET
<!--#include File="PageName.aspx" -->

Re: SSI on ASP.NET pages?
Ahhhh! So the include page has to have an aspx extention also! I'll try that and see what happens.
Thanks

Re: SSI on ASP.NET pages?
The include had an htm extention. It worked fine on all the other pages with a
shtm extention. But it won't work on a page with an aspx extention. I tried
renaming the include to have an aspx extention but it doesn't work. It isn't
being parsed evidently.

Re: SSI on ASP.NET pages?
I have only used server-side extensions such as .asp or .aspx, or .inc for
include files. I highly recommend going with .asp or .aspx, and avoiding
..inc and .htm.
The reason is that files with server-side extensions are processed at the
server. But files with .inc or .htm can have the code read by someone, if
they know what they are doing.
