Static text w/scroll???
Hi,
This is the issue:
I am using dynamic text on my site but the problem is that the font (Portfolio) I am using isn't displaying properly when I am using it dynamically. However, if I make it static text it shows up the way it is supposed to (crisp and sharp).
Unfortunately, there isn't anything that can be done with this issue (I think). So here it is:
- Is it a way to implement dynamic text into static text somehow (so that it displays the font statically - but with the function of dynamic text, including scroll function)? Maybe implementing the dynamic text into a movie clip, then in a static text box, or something like that?
Thanks!

Re: Static text w/scroll???
hi christian
if ur using dynamic text, flash will only take system fonts
so if ur using dynamic text, use system fonts, like verdana, ariel
i think so.. any way check out
if ur customising scrolling i think u can use any fonts as ur wish
flash will convert ur text to a graphic .
for crsip font, check the option 'use device fonts' in properties window, preferably use verdana or ariel
try this

Re: Static text w/scroll???
i stand with anishu about the system fonts... but
if you really want to use Portfolio, you can manually
embed the font.
here's how:
click on your text field, make it dynamic, and then
in the properties tab, click on the button labeled
'Character...'
Select, 'All Characters', and click OK.
Done
Also, make sure that the field's x & y coords are
integers. this avoids over anti-aliasing.
