Still trying to get a Mac to work with GPS
I am still trying to get a Mac to work with GPS. All of the leads so far
suggested have not pointed me towards a soltion, allowing the use of a
Mac USB portable with the Route 66 software under OSX. Somebody
somewhere must have a working combination.

on both a WallStreet and then a Lombard. It's too bad, though, that DeLorme
has quit supporting Macs - not enough users, they say.

and a Fortuna GPSmart which has Bluetooth. I paired the GPS with my
iBook OK, but the Route 66 GPS window says that the communication has
not been iniated. I don't know if a cable connection would be any
better. On the otherhand, I did the same for my Palm Tungsten T and
Mapopolis and it connected immediately and show the position on the
map. I am about to go to Route 66 website to see if they offer any
help.
Let me know if anyone out there has the solution.

and see what you find. The site has links to other Mac GPS resources.
