Stitching a panorama picture together - Photography

First strangeness was that it demanded that I download and install some Java stuff from Sun. Then I found that its user interface is bizarre, to say the least. I didn't manage to create any panorama pictures, in spite of being a programmer by profession. I admit though that I gave up early. I guess you get what you pay for. Didn't go too well. I gave up on PTStitcher. First strangeness
was that it demanded that I download and install some Java stuff
from Sun. Then I found that its user interface is bizarre, to
say the least. I didn't manage to create any panorama pictures,
in spite of being a programmer by profession. I admit though
    that I gave up early.

I guess you get what you pay for.

Is the PTSticher you mention the same as Panorama Tools that PTGUI or
    PTAssembler are front ends for?

Panrama Tool or Panotools contain a set of programs & filters for photoshop
but when I used it it was recommended to use either the PTGUI or PTAssembler
to launch PTsticher and make it a lot more user friendly - I`ve only used
the packages a couple of times and decided that I wasn`t going to get enough
use from it to spend out on the front ends for permanent use ... Zol.

    Mick,

    yes, that's the one.

I'm looking at those front ends, but I get this feeling that I
should perhaps check some other panorama making programs.
