Stop f****** beeping at me - MySQL

Damn it, that frackin MySQL command box is producing a massively loud BEEEEEEP every time I type in the wrong command yes, my employers fault for having a Windows box with which I cannot turn that particular beep off but wtf are the writers of mysql thinking to so heavily penalize me for this....grr...

    Surely in Control Panel >> Sounds >> Program Event, you can turn any beep
    off. Just select the program and change the beeping thing!

    If you don't have security access to that function, you can
    maybe just replace the .wav file in the \windows\media directory.

    Ah, the joys of problems that can be solved with the application of
    wirecutters.... Now that I think about it, many problems can be "solved"
    by suitable application of wirecutters: phone being annoying?
    wirecutters. Hard drive noisy? wirecutters. Daughter's boyfriend getting
    a bit stroppy? wirecutters.
