Re: stop fireworks from opening all images
Hi, livelily swiving Swively,
How to do it, depends on your operating system. If you have Windows 2000, proceed as follows:
- Open Windows Explorer (File Manager)
- Find one of the files you do NOT want to open in Fireworks by default, e.g. a jpg file (Same procedure for all other image files you are concerned with.)
- Right-click on the file
- Select 'Open with' and click
- Click on 'Choose program'. A list of programs will appear, including, say, Adobe Photostop, Photoeditor, Paintshop Pro, etc
- ***Before*** selecting the program you want to open your image files by default, tick the field 'Always use this program to open these files'
- Then select the program you want to use by default.
- Click OK.
OK?
If you have a different operating system, try a similar approach. e.g. right-click on a jpg file and select 'Properties' and try to proceed from there. It cannot be very different from the above.
Good luck.
