    Default Stop spam using my HTML form

    Thi s might be an old toppic to some, but I hope someone can help. I have a
    form on my website that people can fill in and submit asking for more
    information etc. Now this form is being used by spam campaignes to send me
    their junk - up to 100 emails every morning. What can I do to stop this- some
    form verification coed - cant find help on that in dreamweaver. Please
    help!!:disgust;

    A simple solution might be to put in a graphic with a number written on it (any
    number say 73245) and ask the viewer filling out the form to put in that number
    the indicated form inpute box.
    On the server side you would need to compare the number entered with the
    number 73245 and if it matches, accept the form, if it doesn't send an error
    message.

    Also, a short term fix would be to ban the IP address of the company that is abusing your form until you can deploy a solution.

    Not likely to work, however, since you will probably only ban the ISP, not
    the sender.
