Strange file in Shockwave 11 folder
I have found this in my startup menu and it traces back to my shockwave folder:
symcheckupstub.exe. Why is it here and what does it do? The properties
indicates an application with the product name of Norton PC Checkup Stub.

Sounds like you had the Norton toolbar "payload" dropped on you when you
installed Shockwave. A bad decision by Macromedia, perpetuated by Adobe.

Re: Strange file in Shockwave 11 folder
Thanks for your observation that is was installed with Shockwave. I was looking
at the Shockwave install because of some seemingly random occurrences of the
bsod. Shockwave is now off my computer and the norton crap is gone. I hope I
have found the root cause of my crashes.
