    Default Strange invisible character

My colleague has just noticed a new invisible character and we cannot understand what it is. Is there anywhere we can look at an illustration of all invisible characters? (OSX CS2)

Failing that, can anyone help? It's like a tick letter V upside down and it seems to be between 2 lines of text.

hope to hear from you, thanks for reading

In the "edition" menu (command-F in Mac), "search and replace" (it's a window, I call this a "window"... what's the exact term in English ?)

Oh, please, if you do not understand what Oli means, then you need more help than what you are requesting!. ;)
Under the Edit menu you should have the Find/Replace feature, or just press: Command+F—for Apple computers—Control+F—for Windows; the Find/Replace window should open and then copy and paste the symbol you indicated.

Lol! Sorry, i'm tired, my excuse I'm in Dubai (British expat), it's 17.13 on Thursday, Thursday and Friday is the weekend over here and boy oh boy am I ready for the end o the week.

We cannot copy the symbol. It's right on the edge of the text box, inbetween the edge o the box and the first character, it's an upside down V with 2 dots above it.

It's gonna bug me all weekend, grrrrrr...

    Bob,

    The OP describes it as:

it's an upside down V with 2 dots above it.

which is not shown in that pdf. The closest is the even page break, but it's not what I would call an upside down V.

    Please explain.

    Thanks,

    Am still here...

Hmmm, yeh, you've got a point Al... I didn't look properly.

The nearest one is a 'non breaking space', but the upside down V has TWO dots above it (one dot above the other, not side by side) on our page.

BTW Al isn't the 'even page break' symbol a right way round V?

Yes, that's why I said it's not what I would call an upside down V.

    Ah, gotcha. :-)

Ok, I've managed to copy the symbol, using the text select keyboard shortcut (command/shift/arrow), so this proves it is ONE symbol. It will paste into another text box, but not into find/replace (honest!).

Nothing for me to explain, Al. All I did was post a link to Sandee's
work. I didn't check it for completion and I posted it before his
    description of the character.
