    First thing I would do is try the monitor on a different computer. Carry
    it over to a friend's house if you have to.

    - - This is pretty common with LCD screens, they fail a pixel at a
    time. When laptops first started getting color LCD screens, one
    or two "fixed" pixels was consider acceptable even for a new
    screen. I really doubt it has anything to due with your video
    card.
