strange overprinting behaviour FH8 -> FH10
hello everyone,
I encountered a strange behaviour of fh8-files. Some white objects are on a
coloured area. with 'white' i cannot set fill to overprint (which I don't want,
anyway). When opening this file in FH10 i see that some objects are set to
overprint (checked box is grayed out, so I cannot change this) and some objects
are not. How can this happen?
Illustrator and other programs do show and let me control overprint..

Re: strange overprinting behaviour FH8 -> FH10
White never overprints when printing from FH, so you're safe. It's likely
that the white areas were once a color that overprinted and have
subsequently been changed to White.
Set Preferences > Redraw > Display overprinting to see little O's on colors
set to overprint. You can also use F&RG Select Attribute: Overprint in
Document, to find all objects set to overprint.
If you want to remove overprint:
1. Find & Replace Graphics (F&RG) Select Attribute: Color/ White in
Document. Leave selected.
2. F&RG Attribute: Remove/Overprinting in Selection.
Thanks to Ken Kehl for teaching me that less-than-obvious trick.
