string to variable
Need some help with the following:
I want to use global Variable in a if statement .
The name of the variable is 'made' from some text and the variable
myDivisie
The problems is that the 'output' of myVariable is a string and will not
work in the if statement
------------------------------------------------
global gPPTwater_inactief
global gPPTinfra_inactief
global gPPTmilieu_inactief
global gPPTcomfort_inactief
global gPPTenergy_inactief
property pSprite
property myDivisie
Property myBlend
myVariable = "gPPT"&myDivisie&"_inactief"
if myVariable= 1 then
pSprite.blend = myBlend
end if
end
----------------------------------------------------------------
What can i do to make it work ?
With kind regards and thanx for any help

Re: string to variable
Check out the value() function. I think what you want is:
myVariable = value("gPPT"&myDivisie&"_inactief")
which should give you the value of the variable, not the string.

Re: string to variable
Hi,
try to use a propertylist as global Variable:
global gVariable
addProp(gVariable,#gPPTwater_inactief,0)
....
myVariable = getProp(gVariable,symbol("gPPT"&myDivisie&"_inacti ef"))
if myVariable= 1 then
pSprite.blend = myBlend
end if
end
best regards,
c.

String to Variable
Is there a way to set this string to a variable and be used in the WHERE of the query?
date_received BETWEEN #createODBCDate(FORM.dateStart)# AND #createODBCDate(FORM.dateEnd)#

Re: String to Variable
createODBCDate takes a date object type and not a value from a form.
You need this format first: createODBCDate(CreateDate(year,month,day))
Then you can store it in a variable and use it in a where clause.
