Default Stroke on text in InDesign missing from PDF

I am finding instances of text in InDesign CS2 that has a stroke applied to it is not showing up after creating a PDF/X-1a 2003 (Acrobat 7). There can be several blocks of text with a stroke and some will be visible where others will not. There have even been times where the same job creates different outcomes using the same PDF setting. Has anyone else run across this happening? I don't know what to tell my people.

Is it printing without the strokes or just viewing without them? Or both?

Ok. No idea what causes that here but, You may also try posting in the InDesign forum since Acrobat isn't involved in the ID export function.

You can also try printing to a PDF (as a test) to see if that clears it up. If so, it's definitely a setting in the ID end.
