Default Stroke size named wrong after ungroup - BUG?

is this a bug? (Indesign 3.0.1 on Win2K system)

place a picture (tiff or PSD file) on a page and apply a stroke (like 1p black). group it with another object and resize (!) the group und then ungroup it again.
the stroke still says "1p" but in fact it is bigger or smaller (through your resizing!).

I really have a problem here with about 50 posters which all should have the same stroke. They all say "0,5p" but the look VERY different and that comes from my group & resize actions I did.
    What can I do?

It's an old bug by some people's measure and a feature by others*. The point size has to be multiplied by the current scaling.

CS has a solution: you'll find Reset Scaling to 100% on the transform palette to get things back to where you want them.

There's also a Scale Strokes option that can be switched off to help prevent this kind of thing, although it does get a bit hairy when groups are involved.

"The point size has to be multiplied by the current scaling."
to me that makes sense (I know that behaviour from good ol' CorelDraw) but was not able to find any tools, options or infos on that in CS.

"you'll find Reset Scaling to 100% on the transform palette"
But when the object is slected it always says "100%" in the transform palette, before and after resizing?!?

"There's also a Scale Strokes option that..."
eerrm, where? in the menu? There is a "scale outline with resize" Option (my translation), it is turned off!

Scales Strokes is on the control palette and transform palette drop-downs. Having this on or off dramatically changes the way that some of these transformations work.

putting that option on or off does not have any effect here:
when it's on or off InDesign does this:

when resizing an object the stroke is NOT scaled.
when resizing GROUPED object the stroke is scaled.

    aaah, I have found it.
when scaling by mouse (pressing shift+str) the option does not work.
when scaling by inputting digits in the control palette it works OK.

so I call it a bug.

I do resizing of objects by mouse the whole day.
The bug does not only have the effect with the wrong scaled stroke, it also seems to crash the %-figures in the control-palette. When I place a new object it is 100% (of course). But after rescaling it with the mouse it still says "100%" in the control palette (same goes for the transform palette by the way) - so I have no clue what %s it is at the moment!
And when I rescale an object by the paleete to, let's say 33% and rescale it by mouse, it stays on "33%" no matter how large I drag it.

only clue I get is from the info palette with the dpi-count. that works correct. But does not help me much.

In fact - selecting object placed in InDesign DOES NOT select object -
you select _frame_, in which object resides.

When you select it with direct selection tool ("blank" arrow) - you
    will see real scale.

Yes, I think that mouse transformation should be reflected by
percentage displayed in palette for frames with "Graphics" content
(and "not specified" too) - but not for text frames.
