Student Version Limitations ?
Hi All,
Im a 3d/2d new media design student and im looking at getting a student version of InDesign. I cant find anywhere any info on the limitations that a student license dictates. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Im not looking for a 'do i qualify to be a studnet' Im more looking for what I can and cannot do with a studnet license.
Cheers,
Paul

Re: Student Version Limitations ?
The educational version has all the features of the regular version (it is missing a few extras like fonts).

Re: Student Version Limitations ?
There are no limitations. Unlike other software companies, Adobe does
not limit your use of the software. IOW, you don't need to buy another
version for commercial purposes.

Re: Student Version Limitations ?
Paul,
Yes, you can upgrade. Yes you can use the product in any way you want.
This subject comes up here often and always gets the same answer.
The official statement is in the end-user license agreement that comes with the software.

Re: Student Version Limitations ?
re: any way you want
Obviously, in my zeal to give you an answer I have overstated this. What I meant was: there are no special restrictions because it is an educational package.

Re: Student Version Limitations ?
There's no upgrade path per se. You can use the academic license to
upgrade to the commercial version. If you're still in school, you'd
probably be better off buying another full academic package.

Re: Student Version Limitations ?
This forum and the Mac side would be the top two.
As far as books, Sandee Cohen's Visual Quickstart Guide and Olav Kvern
and David Blatner's Real World InDesign.
