Default Submit form doesn't work in Reader 6.0

I created a fill in form in Acrobat 5.0 which has a submit form button on it, with the option to submit the complete document checked. I'm able to fill in the form and the submit button works from my machine. However we can't get it to work from a machine that has Reader 6.0. The form can be filled in but the submit button doesn't work. We get an error message that says; This operation not allowed. Can this not be done?

    Thanks

Reader (any verson) cannot submit completed forms, only form data.

To add a little more: earlier versions just did something else
(perhaps nothing, perhaps an FDF submit). Reader 6 complains.
