Suddenley can't print, InDesign CS (3), Photoshop, Entourage...
Hi,
I have a quick technical issue with my Mac which I thought I’d run by you lot. MacMini was fine, went on holiday for 1 week, came back, and now all of my software refuses to print!
Adobe Photoshop says: ‘An error occurred. Failed to print due to not enough memory (RAM).’
Adobe Indesign says: ‘Failed to print. The Adobe Print Engine failed due to an unknown error.’
Microsoft Entourage says: ‘Failed to print. Not enough memory.’
I have 11.89GB free on the Mac, and 101GB on my external back up drive (primary for Photoshop). Was all working, have not upgraded anything. Also, I have 1GB of Ram.

First off, try repairing permissions. (Using Apple's Disk Utility)
If that doesn't do, it try repairing the disk directory.
Three ways to do that, for anyone not familiar with the technique:
1. Boot from Apple's install disk and run Repair Disk from disk utility.
2. Reboot in single-user mode (holding down cmd.-S while booting) and enter "fsck -yf" and hit enter. (After it's done, type in "reboot" and enter to boot into the Mac OS.
3. Run a good third-party directory utility, such as DiskWarrior.

You didn't tell us what kind of printer you have. You could also use the Printer Setup Utility to uninstall your printer and reinstall it. If that doesn't work, download the printer driver and install again.

Hi Don, nice tip - repairing permissions seems to have fixed my troubles. Thank you Steve as well! My printer is an Epson Stylus R300 Photo BTW.
