Re: Suddenly blank pages
Lisa,
If this is a postscript level 2 printer, then it should work fine. I
would have thought a PS Level 1 would be ok, but am not sure.

Re: Suddenly blank pages
Well, the 4/600 PS came out around 1995. It's Postscript, but the manual doesn't specify a level. ;-)
So, if I haven't been left behind by updates and reinstalling the printer didn't solve the problem, what else might be going on?

Re: Suddenly blank pages
Lisa,
If it was 1995, it should have been postscript level 2 In fact,
<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=112505> states the
printer is a PS Level 2.
Try to delete the printer instance. Create a new user and try printing
from the new user.

Re: Suddenly blank pages
OK, I assume by "new user" you mean a new account. I can do that. But what is a "printer instance" and how do I delete it? 'The Missing Manual' doesn't mention it...

Re: Suddenly blank pages
Go to the Printer Setup utility. Select the printer and click the delete
button.

Re: Suddenly blank pages
OK, I did that, per your suggestion, the other day. Then recreated the printer instance (in your catchy phrase). Resolved nothing.
Are you suggesting I dump the printer, then create a new Me before adding the printer back in?

Re: Suddenly blank pages
Creating a new me should be sufficient. This is just a cheap easy way to
check to see if there is a preference problem.

Re: Suddenly blank pages
AHA! My alter ego is able to print what I cannot. This is exciting! which preferences must I jettison.

Re: Suddenly blank pages
Lisa,
Let's try the Acrobat preferences in your User
Library/Preference/com.adobe.acrobat.*
There seems to be two acrobat plist files remove them to a safe place
when your program is not running. Then restart and see what happens.
