summary refresh & deadlock - IBM DB2

Whenever we try to do a summary table refresh, DBAgent.executeQuery(), REFRESH TABLE inst1.product COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.DB2Exception: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/6000] SQL0911N The current transaction has been rolled back because of a deadlock or timeout. Reason code "68". SQLSTATE=40001 This doesn't happen with other refreshes. -- Posted via http://dbforums.com...

This is a lock timeout, not a deadlock. This means that other
applications are using your summary table, and thus you can't get the
required exclusive lock on the table necessary to refresh.

I would look to see who is causing the lock-wait if you are running in to
it constantly (get snapshot for locks).

    Good luck,
