"Suspicious Scripting" - Adobe Acrobat Windows

My anti-virus software stops Acrobat from making PDF files due to "suspicious scripting" going on within Acrobat. I am trying out Acrobat 6 (30 day trial). even with turning off the anti-virus program (McAfee)So far it will not make PDF files from WORD doents and the icons/toolbar is missing from WORD. The only file I have managed to make into a PDF is frm Excel, and the PDF file ended up larger than the Excel file.... not a good trial, and I am not considering buying it !!...

You have to stop your anti-virus software from blocking it from
working. It hardly means Acrobat is faulty if some other program comes
in and chops its legs off.

The fact that the icon is missing from WORD is probably due to you using WORD as your Outlook editor. This is partially a problem with the way that WORD handles macros. You should still be able to print from WORD to the Adobe PDF printer.

Folks here can try to help, but don't bother complaining to us as if we are Adobe folks. We are users, most of whom are happy with Acrobat because we hung on 'til we got the hang of it. I am still learning things and I have been using AA since version 2 (or do I go back to 1?). For what I use it for, there is not really an alternative. If fact, I use it for many things like presentations because I can develop them in my own way, rather than the standard PPT way.

Give the 30 days a reasonable trail and then make your judgement.
