Default swap 3 or more images

I have an html file (x.html) that has text and a table with an image. In this
table there's going to be BACK and NEXT buttons so I can change the picture
displayed WITHOUT changing the x.html file... but I don't know how to do it.

I used Swap Images but it's just for 2 pictures and I have like 9 images to
display.

Do you now how to do that using html/javascript?:confused;

When you say "swap images", do you mean like a slide show?
Perhaps like a gallery?
If so, check out: http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/

If it's just to flip from pic to pic without the thumbnail, create a flash
file for teh images with an click action script to change images.

Actually I didn't want to use flash (client option). I realized I could do this
with layers. The main problem I had is that the "end user" would use Netscape 4
(not compatible with layers) but the client just told me -a few minutes ago-
that they do not use that version.

Thanks anyway ;)
