Swatch Libraries Gone

For some reason my swatch libraries have disappeared. Other libraries (like brushes) are still there but swatches are gone, thus no access to Pantone colors. Can anybody tell me how to get them back? If you happen to see them walking the streets tell them I said "I'm sorry. Please come home."

Trash the Prefs! Then buy a bunch of flowers and box of chocolates. Works for me.

Did you ever get it to work? I am having the same problem - I trashed my prefs and I still can't get my swatch libraries back. They are all in my presets folder but they won't show up in my Illustrator doc. I just bought a new G5 and this started to happen when I installed Illustrator 10.0.3. No other computer is being effected. Any advice?

Have you restarted yet? Go to Window/Swatch Library/Other Library and try and load them that way.

If you have a lot fonts active, that may cause this to happen. Try disabling most or all your fonts that your system is not using.

Corrupt fonts will do this. If you have a font manager see if you can verify all your fonts. If you don't have one, then you'll have to shut the fonts off, and a few at a time turn them back on until you can duplicate your problem and find the fonts that went corrupt.
