    Default Switching from one projector to another

    Greetings

    Situation:
    Initially I have 2 independent projectors.
    I launch one of them and on some frame it should close itself and open
    another projector.

    Problem faced:
    When using simple script that opens another projector as an external program
    (OPEN command) and then quits the first projector (QUIT command) a script
    error occurs.
    When doing the same thing in authoring environment - NP!

    Task:
    How to implement it?

    Any essential help greatly appreciated

    Both commands issue system calls. Lingo doesn't wait to get any result
    from the system call so the quit, on some systems, can happen before the
    open command has a chance to get all the info it needs. Since you don't
    say what your error is, this may not be the prob, but you can try waiting
    a few seconds in a frame loop between the open and quit:

    property waitUntil

    on beginSprite me
    waitUntil = 0
    end

    on mouseUp me
    waitUntil = (the ticks) + 180 -- 3 seconds
    open the moviepath & "otherProjector.exe"
    end

    on exitFrame me
    if waitUntil = 0 then exit
    if (the ticks) >= waitUntil then
    quit
    end if
    end
