Default SWSOC.EXE causing server to hang

Would anyone know why the ODBC Server service (SWSOC.EXE) would be hanging our
server? I have applied the hotfix to the EXE so we are running 009711 now, but
    it still hangs.

The database we are connecting to is ORACLE 10g

    Adobe - please help

Also these are user forums, and are not the correct way to contact Adobe for support.
