Re: Symbol Font
If you running Windows, try WebDings (not sure if that installs by default
on Mac)
Home = House (0x42)
Search = Magnifying Glass(0x4C) or Eye (0x4E)
Shopping Cart = Shopping Bags (0xE7)
Any other pictograms come to mind you might need?
Cheers,
Sam

Re: Symbol Font
The numbers in paranthesis are hex number which is how they are displayed in
the Charmap applet under windows.
If you want to enter them using the keyboard, hold down the Alt key and
enter in the decimal equivalents (listed below) on the numeric keypad.
Home = House (0x42 or Alt-66)
Search = Magnifying Glass(0x4C or Alt-76) or Eye (0x4E or Alt-78)
Shopping Cart = Shopping Bags (0xE7 or Alt-231 )
Apologies for the geek lapse.... long day of scanning and OCR for a pro-bono
gig.
Cheers,
Sam

Re: Symbol Font
Thanks, that's great. I never even knew that was there. Is there a list
where I can look up the decimal equivalents for each symbol?
TIA

Re: Symbol Font
Thanks Sam. I don't know why, but I can't open some of the attachments, yours is one of them. Do you know how I can fix it? I am using OE.
THX.

Re: Symbol Font
Hi, me again. I've got another problem - after ALT-126 nothing is correct.
Any ideas why??

Re: Symbol Font
Gribble.... I had originally checked it out in IE 6 (which I seems to be
doing something screwy), when I preview the file in Mozilla or NN everything
after 127 comes out as "?"
I suspect that I am feeding in ASCII codes and the browser is trying to
display in UNICODE which is fine for the low numbers, but it is screws up
the higher numbers.
Out of town for a few days... again. Will tinker with it again when I get
back.
Cheers,
Sam
