System crashes after updates
Best solution I know of right now is to go to Control
Panel and click on 'Add or Remove Programs'. Look for
KB821557 and remove it. Reboot after you remove the fix.
The problem appears to only affect some file operations
in Windows Explorer, such as deletion, and when I right-
click on a file. When I attempt a file delete, or right-
click on a file, the mouse icon changes to 'busy' and
Explorer seems to be hung in a loop or deadlock of some
sort.
I have a dual 1GHz P3 w/ an Asus CUV4X MoBo, and an
Adaptec 19160 SCSI controller on my system. I've sent in
some error reports to Microsoft.
