    You can do like:

    INSERT tbl ....
    SELECT i = IDENTITY, e = ERROR, r = ROWCOUNT

    You can store them into variables but you have to retrieve them at the same time:

    declare
    error int
    , rowcount int
    , identity int

    insert MyTable default values

    select
    rowcount = rowcount
    , error = error
    , identify = identity

    As others suggested, declare temp variables and then assign the values from
    global variable to these temp variables in a single statement

    SELECT identity = identity, rowcount=rowcount
