    I'm not sure, but I would guess that there is no control. It would be
    determined by the browser. Left to right, top to bottom?

    Are you using "Instant web publishing" or did you craft the pages yourself?

    It will not be random then - it is most likely the order the fields are
    actually in the code (if it is using a combination of tables and
    CSS for the page (which Instant does) then the layout on the page
    and the order in the underlying code may not resemble each other)

    The other possibility is it is trying to use the taborder
    attribute on form fields, which only works on some browsers

    Default Tab order

    Hi, I'm new in the group.
    I'v made a fill-out form for e-mail. I'm having trouble by navigating with
    the tab button. I just want to tab to the next line. Instead of that when I
    use the tab button it just goes random.

    Does anyone know how to regulate that.

    Go to [url]http://www.flashkit.com[/url], click "movies" and look for "tab order". I
    found this:

    [url]http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Interfaces/Forms/Form_for-Mustafa_-6200/index.php[/url]

    which looks like what you need.

    It sometimes makes your fingers all jittery and makes you confuse your vowels (which isn't as messy as it sounds).

    How do I set the tab order for form fields in an Active Server Page?

    I don't know if Dreamweaver provides another way to do this, but in the code
    view, you just add the tab order via the tabindex attribute:

    <input type="text" tabindex=1>

    If you have a variable number of form elements, then you'd put a variable in
    the spot where I had the literal "1", then increment it by 1 right after
    each form element in the code:

    <%
    intTabIndex = 1
    %>

    then

    <input type="text" tabindex=<%=intTabIndex%>
    <% intTabIndex = intTabIndex + 1%>

    Default tab order

    Hi,
    Is there a way we can stop the tab from going out of flex component to
    Internet explorer. When i tab through my app after the last text field the tab
    goes to the foot bar of IE and then to header and then to address bar and then
    back to the main component. Is there a way i can stop it from going out of the
    flex component. I tried tabIndex but it doesn't seem to work. Please reply with
    examples.

    Thanks
