    Default Table of Content Styles

When I create a table of contents, the formatting of the paragraph style filters through to the TOC.

I created a character style that I want to use, but when I apply it into the TOC Style, it doesn't read it. HELP. I have to manually change all the entries to the TOC Style I want, but when I update, it reverts to another format.

    HELP!!!

Look into using nested styles to apply the character style (assuming we're talking CS here).

Why not just create specific paragraph styles for the TOC?

--I will note that one particular style wouldn't show up in the TOC style
pull-down menu. I had to create "TOC2 copy" and then I could use the style.
    Wierd.

Is there no end to the weird stuff? You said wierd but I'm sure you meant weird. One can only hope that the next update has fixes a plenty.

The TOC works fine for me I think maybe Anthony doesn't know how to use it yet.

I had the same problem the first time I tried it too.

I could explain a little more later but right now I'm too tied up with this problem updating ID. They gave me a new workstation and they didn't even install the Plug-In pack or any of the updates.

I'll BRB when I have a TOC open in ID and tell you how I do it in CS.
