Table rows
Hi. I'm trying to make the bottom row on a table really thin so it looks like
a shadow. I have 4 rows in my table and I select the bottom one (with the
right pointing arrow), and I change the height, but it does not make the row
small enough. Can anyone help? (Btw, I am very new to Dreamweaver) Thanks!

Re: Table rows
The best way that I have found to do this is to create yourself a 1 x 1 pixel
transparent GIF and save it to your images folder. Name it 1x1.gif. Once you
have it there you can use it over and over again. Place that 1x1.gif into the
row you want to make thin. Once you place that in there, with no text, the
table row will collapse to as thin as you need it. I'v done this in the past
to make the bottom or top of a table appear to have a round beveled edge or a
shadow effect. Put 4 or 5 row at the bottom or top of the table and make the
cell color for each a shade lighter or dartker, depending on the effect you're
going for, and then place the 1x1.gif into each row and that will colapse them
as thin as you need them. 1 pixel high by default because of the size of the
image, but you now can specifiy an exact hight to fit your needs.
