Tablet Info
I am heading out to college this fall and I want to be able to continue to do contract work such as web design, and print contracts.
I work in a studio now just working with photos, I use a Wacom Intous 2 6x8.
I want to be able to trace images also.
I was wondering what you various artists use. (Brand, Model, Size, Cost)
Thanks
Conley

Re: Tablet Info
use the graphire 4x5, and i love it. you can do anything with it, from tracing pictures to digital painting. you have the intuos 6x8 thats awsome, have fun with it.

Re: Tablet Info
I also have a graphire 4x5 which I've been using for 3 years without a problem. The Intuos line is a step up in the Wacom tablets line and are more expensive. My Graphire cost me $99.00. The same size tablet in the Intuos line costs twice that. My personal opinion, based on what I've used while working for design studios that foot the bill for equipment, is that the Intuos is the smoothest working tablet and 6x8 is the perfect size for doing anything you want. Price tag = about $350.00. If you're on a budget the $99.00 Graphire will work fine for you. Hope that helps.

Re: Tablet Info
If you can afford it, the Intuos 2 is still the best. One of the biggest differences between the Graphire and the Intuos is the resolution (Intuos is the highest - 1024?).
It really depends on what you plan to use it for and how much you can afford to spend.
