Tamron sp 90 f2/8 macro - Photography

I am looking for opinions on the lense for macro work and portraiture. I have a Fuji S2 Pro. Because of the 1,5 X factor will I effectively get a 1.5/1 macro?? Also if I use my Nikon 6T (3x) diopter what will I get for magnification? Anyone trie using extension rings like Kenko,s set with this lense? EEO...

the :1:1 ratio for macros is the ratio of the actual size ofthe object on
    your film or digital sensor

You will get 1:1 macro but it will be 1.5 x magnified as the sensor is
    smaller than a 35mm film
    hope that helps

No, of course not. It will still be 1:1 at minimum distance.
Naturally, 1:1 with a small-sensor digital camera is another
thing as 1:1 with a 35-mm camera ... and still another thing
    as 1:1 with a medium-format camera.

1:1 just means that the covered subject field is the same size
as the film/sensor format. Nothing more, nothing less.
