TCP/IP version 1.2 drivers for SCO Unix 3.2v4.2
Hello,
Does anyone know from where can I download TCP/IP version 1.2
drivers for SCO Unix 3.2v4.2? I need to install a network card (D-Link
DFE 530TX) but when I put:
#netconfig
appears an error: "does not support net configuration"
I think that Unix version was installed without those drivers. I
don't think I could get them from SCO web, they are just promoting
their last versions. I can't either upgrade to SCO 5.x because there
are a lot of old programs running on there.
Thanks in advanced!

You'd need a license, as well as the programs, and SCO isn't selling
those anymore either.
What make you think the "old programs" won't run on OSR 5?

within 6 months after OSR5 came out as I recall - you would have
to find some of the very old network cards that were supported
by that software.

of acceptable cards is rather limited. This list is in AHS 5.2
(Advanced Harware Suppliment 5.2). The most common cards are:
Western Dismal WD8003
Western Dismal WD8013
3Scum 3C503
You also need the NET382E update.
As usual, I can't find either in the SCO web maze.

Actually, 'old programs' can't run on SCO 5.x. For example, I've got> What make you think the "old programs" won't run on OSR 5?
Bbx2 (Business Basic Level 2 Rev. 2.6) running on SCO Unix 3.2v4.2
pretty well. But when I moved it to another harddisk with SCO 5.x, it
didn't run ok. It's not a matter of a lack of files because I also
tried to run the bbx2 programs from their orginal harddisk (SCO Unix
3.2v4.2 as second disk in the server PC, being SCO 5.x the first
disk). When the program is running the server always hangs out with
the error: "memory fault-core dumped".
On the SCO 5.x, I tried to make the /root/ and /u/ filesystems small
(inode numbers <64k) and in EAFS, but it doesn't work either.
Thank you anyway.
