    Default TechNote/go/b2b97ab3

    :| After inserting the above referenced technote into \getting
    started\Application.cfm as instructed, Internet Explorer could not open the
    page by pressing the F12 preview key. I did write the change in one line
    instead of beaking it into two parts as shown.

    Well, it probably shouldn't make any difference in this case, but generally it
    is a good idea to use the exact example given.

    Did you turn off "Friendly HTTP Error Messages" in Internet Explorer to make
    sure you are seeing the real error message? If not, what error message do you
    see once you turn that setting off?

    I did not receive an error message from IE. It just would not open!! I will try turning off "Friendly Error Messages" and see if it makes a difference.

    The Friendly Error was HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

    Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced ->
    (In Browsing Section) -> uncheck Show friendly HTTP error messages
