    Default telnetd: open /dev/ptmx: No such device.

    I used Solaris 2.5.1. Sometime when I telnet to my host, it has
    messages below.
    telnetd: open /dev/ptmx: No such device

    At that time on console, I check "ls -ld /dev/ptmx" below.
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 30 Nov 13 2001 /dev/ptmx -> ../devices/ps
    eudo/clone@0:ptmx

    How can I solve this problem ?

    Thank you very much.

    You're out of pty's. Add the following line to /etc/system,
    touch /reconfigure and reboot:

    set pt_cnt=128
